After the Miss America party and a stop by my house, I met up with some friends and we spent the rest of our Saturday night exploring The Ridges in the snow. The Ridges used to be an Insane Asylum near campus here... now some of the buildings have staff offices in them but for the most part it's all closed off. Somehow in my 3+ years here I have never explored the area... but now I'm hooked. We snuck in the old Tuberculosis Ward and stayed in there most of the time, then did the nature walk through the cemeteries, and then went in the courtyard... the way into the courtyard is what my blip is of. Didn't get many pictures at all as it was the dead of night, but some came out. We also saw at least 12 deer all at once... here is a shot of one that I like. It was only slightly nerve wracking being there... and not at all b/c it's so haunted... more like b/c I didn't want someone to see our lights when we had them on from time to time. The haunted thing really doesn't bother me, although I do enjoy the fact that I go to college in one of the most haunted towns in the country. :)
