sunny beach

Today was a cold but beautiful day so thisafternoon after popping to see Jayne at her work Jack, Erin and I couldn't resist going to the beach to throw stones into the sea. We stayed for a while while the tide crept in and the sun started to get lower in the sky. The twins would have stayed longer but it really did get too cold and there was a beef stew in the slow cooker that had been making me feel hungry all afternoon. So we went home and warmed up with a lovely tea together. Perfect.

Erins quote of the day: after spotting the mints in my bag I said they could try one each. They have never had mints before and Jack just licked at his. Erin popped hers in her mouth and said
"It's nice Jack, it's like a melon but it's not a melon" Have no clue what she is talking about!!! Mind you that is nothing new.
