peeking through...

...showing signs of growth - surpising to me since i wasn't seeing anything in colorado yet. what a difference so many states across the country make...

it's wonderful to see green already, even though it's surrounded by ice - and there continue to be reminders of the big blizzard when i was here last with signifcant snow still on the ground.

when i asked mom what the name of this plant was, she pulled one of those we frequently do... the blank stare, the "well, i used to know the name," "i don't remember anymore..." "you'll have to ask your brother.." i'm not sure why my brother would know the name of the plant, but okay. at any rate, no name plant it is for today - i'm just thrilled it's green and a sign of spring... yay!
