Blessed

16 months 9 days

The morning started really nicely. Although Katie woke at 4, she snuggled down and went asleep on me until nearly 7. We went to montessori this morning, and she had a fab time. She was doing a nice painting activity, using different toy vehicles to make paint tracks. She did one 'textbook' example - this was how it was meant to be. And then the second time that she had a go, today's blip happened. And the tracks didn't so much!

To be honest the rest of the day wasn't brilliant. Katie woke up from her sleep and started vomitting. There's a bug going round the kids, and it looks likely she's caught it. She's not been sick since 4pm but then she's not really had anything. She had her bedtime feed from me, so we'll see if that stays put as to whether we go out tomorrow or not.

We've had several bits of bad news, to add to the chaos of the afternoon, including learning a friend is in intensive care in London. But I did realise by the end of the day that actually, having Katie, the baddest of days are a million times better than the best days without her. So I reach the end of my day, vomit covered, stressed, but very blessed.
