Yes, that's right, the R word. R for Rabbit. If you must mention these furry little creatures you must be careful to use the B word. Hence you might find written things like " bunny casserole" on the Island Menus.

Some Portlanders might laugh it off when confronted with the R word in Weymouth and will make a point of (if you dare them enough) saying the R word (they don't want you to think they are freaks... However, you will never get a true Portlander to say that on their soil. It brings back luck, apparently...
