What I'm currently reading.

I bought this book one year ago but have only just started reading it (Raising Cain: protecting the emotional life of our boys). As the mother of two boys I think I should consider this book as a "set text" from a compulsory reading list. From the bits I've read already, I think it may even help me to understand my husband better ;-)

I have a huge responsibility to send my sons out into the world as emotionally healthy and strong young men, not just for their own sakes but also for the people they will come involved with as they progress through their lives. This is a responsibility I do not take lightly. I'm afraid I do tend to fall into the "blame the parents" camp and that goes for me as much as the next person.

I will share any particularly good bits as I find them!
