Karate, kind hearts and sandwiches
My two are back together with as much energy as this.
Little Agu was still so exhausted this morning, it seemed best he had the day off to recover. And it was fun for him to come to the airport to pick up Ben after his snowboarding adventure in Austria. Ben was full of 360s, saunas and Austrian pancakes (bearing the recipe from the hotel for me), and all limbs intact.
Being out from behind the iron curtain of the mountains, we did the Ikea hotdog thing and then various shops, finally finding a 40 Euro DVD player so we could watch at least half of this after homework was completed.
Ben had a happy sandwich moment too. He had saved half from his plane trip, and wondered whether the parking guy outside the supermarket would like it rather than throw it away. And he wolfed it down with such a big grin on his face, waving to us as we left. Actually, Ben's smile was even bigger and lasted for miles down the road. I finished the evening off with Passport to Pimlico. I've been looking forward to watching it since Christmas (thanks AKHF and mv). It has a great bread sharing theme too.
Our thoughts are with Ian (he lent us this film), who has tragically lost his brother. Take care mate.
