We had a visit from our daughter and the grinning Cygnet this morning after they had been to the clinic to have the Cygnet weighed and measured.

Daughter was bemoaning the fact that her boss has rejected her request to go back to work part time.
He has totally ignored all legal requirements as regards to time limits and written requests/responces etc.
However, this afternoon she got a message from the companies new HR boss who would appear to be taking things on as a matter of urgency and is talking about alternatives should she not be able to accomodate daughters request (which she hasn't even had a chance to look at yet) so things are looking up a bit already.

SWMBO and I went for a cup of tea with our sick friend this afternoon.
She is doing remarkably well for somebody who was meant to pop her cloggs 2 years ago.

Tonight it is Craft Association meeting which is always good for a laugh.
The camera club could do well to take lessons as a committee meeting for the Crafts group takes an hour (including tea, biscuits and a chat) whereas the camera club takes 2 to 21/2 hours (no tea included) and definately no laughs
