Hangin' Out

This little guy was just hangin' out. He survived the bitter cold nights...the extreme winds and now he's just waiting...waiting for the little friend at the end of the branch that will be blossoming soon. The entire image is a constant reminder to me of of how the life cycle continues. Being a Mommy now makes it very hard for me to know that at some point in my life my "little blossom" will be in the world without me. I'll probably be just like that little leaf.....hangin' on for as long as I can just to stay close to the youth and vitality of the blossom.
