Quinta da Regaleira, Sintra

We decided to visit the town of Sintra because everybody I know who has visited Lisbon(plus teh guide books) said that we must not miss it. This was the first Palace we visited and wow what a place (it was built in the neo-manueline style), we were pretty much free to wander around through many of the rooms and it was so lifelike you could almost imagine the royal family living there and I loved the towers. This was the summer home of the Carvalho Monteiro family. We also visited the Palace da Pena which was awesome but this was the building which did it for me. i'm not even sure why I chose his phto over the others especially as I have closeup's of the towers but once the choice is made.......
