Spring

This photo was taken off of the calendar I've referenced before that my boss brought me back from Paris. I love it when it's time to look at the next month's photo. The description of the photo is as follows:

Spring, 1573, oil on canvas, Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, Madrid

PAINTER: Giuseppe Arcimboldo (also spelled Arcimboldi) (1527 ? July 11, 1593) was an Italian painter best known for creating imaginative portrait heads made entirely of such objects as fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, and books ? that is, he painted representations of these objects on the canvas arranged in such a way that the whole collection of objects formed a recognizable likeness of the portrait subject.

PERSONAL NOTE: He was born or died a day before my birthday 440 years earlier! WOW....His art works seems so 20th century to me.
