Making winter tires

I'm doing some experiments with mounting micro sized screws as studs to make winter tires for my mountain bike. This one is now finished with 384 studs all secured with glue. The air volume of these (Schwalbe Racing Ralph 2.25") tires is much bigger than commercial studded tires, making them much more comfortable to ride. They also weigh much less. As a downside I expect them to be less durable and reliable.
