Open or shut?

Ethan managed to sleep in till 6.40am today which was perfect timing as that's roughly the time I need to start getting him ready, the days I'm working! What wasn't so good was the nursery drop off. Again, he howled when I left him - so hard to walk away when I could hear him bawling even as I went out the main door.

Fairly quiet day at work - think I've pretty much caught up on the intial things I needed to do. Didn't go out for a walk today at lunchtime so blipping had to wait till I got home! (Ethan loves opening and shutting the gate at the top of the stairs - such a simple thing keeps him amused for ages)!

Got back to nursery at 5pm and heard Ethan before I saw him ... actually he obviously saw me first as he started crying again and that's what I heard! Apparently he had a very good day today though after his initial upset. Although he didn't eat breakfast again he wolfed down all his lunch and his afternoon snacks plus he had 2 sleeps too.

I quickly took him home and left him in hubbies hands to do dinner while I went to the supermarket. Now I'm back at work, I need to figure out the best way to do the food shopping as going to be hard to fit it in on work days. By the time I got back from Sainsbury's it was time to do Ethan's bath so I feel like I've hardly seen him today. We also had tears from him at bedtime and I ended up having to sit and rock with him in the nursing chair for ages to get him to sleep. Not ideal but fortunately most unusual for that to happen these days.
