a view and a child!

Headed up Gummer's How (a nearby hill) today as it was beautiful! Sienna was a complete star - walking, climbing, jumping, scrambling and chatting the whole way up. She has really come along recently, physically and is pretty strong in the legs when it comes to tackling the hills around here - its is wonderful to walk with her.

What wasn't so wonderful was that at the start of the walk I put my hiking boots on and couldn't get my foot into it - something was spongy at the bottom. Reached in and it was cold and slimy to my touch. Being a complete whimp I immediately did the sensible thing and screamed. Luckily some very kind men took pity on me and came to my aid and fished out a frog who was hiding inside. No idea how it ended up there - my boots were in the house but yikes, yuck and gross!
