The healing is beginning. The doctor verified the respiratory scourge as a viral illness that has afflicted many, including herself. She said to prepare for at least three weeks of healing, one will be completed tomorrow. Low grade fever, persistent cough, hoarseness, sinus woes, and a general ill feeling, I suffer all of the above. Cough syrup with codeine, an inhaler for my irritated but clear lungs, hot steam and REST. The cough syrup began working immediately, I was able to sleep so much better. It is strong, I'm sensitive to medications always. I have the feeling of being almost too dried out, but I'm trying to over hydrate to compensate. A friend is going to get me some Ocean, a saline product to irrigate my nose and I'm staying in bed. T had to go to work, but she has been so lovely, putting up with the constant cough without complaint(that would be impossible for me if I were in her shoes) and just doing it all.

Finally it's March, perhaps the snow will melt. This is a very ugly time, broken branches and tree limbs litter all the yards emerging from dirty snow. The saving grace is knowing that soon green will again prevail and soothe our weary winter souls.

Thanks for all the healing vibes, being laid up for this long is not my style.
