Gold bird

Had to return my wedding ring to the jewelers on Victoria Street this afternoon. as my fingers apparently swell up 2 sizes when hot, resulting in a loose ring (cue giggles) when returning to normal operating temperature. Just under 6 weeks til the big day itself, so plenty of time for it to be adjusted.

The walk back from the West Bow to work affored some excellent bliptunities, notably this golden bird (eagle?) attached to one of the buildings on the Royal Mile. Alas, I forgot to look at which building in particular, and so have no idea what the story is regarding it. Perhaps a fellow blipper can shed some light on it?
