Faithful Friends

The fields were very wet yesterday, but the boots seem dry at last.

Its a great feeling sloshing through the mud, feet and lower legs splattered, knowing that the feet are warm and dry inside boots.

I'm not sure if mine will 'see me out'. Probably not, though I'm very fond of them. The wellies certainly won't (they have already done over 30 years and are perished); but the brolly might.

And its a depressing thought that I do now wonder about this when buying new things!
