Usual transmission will resume sometime.

This journal is called Look Again. I've always liked making pictures that need more than a quick glance; that invite contemplation and questioning. Most of my Blips are slow pictures.
It took quite a few months for me to understand that this journal has become  a virtual extension of the new artist notebook I started after a bit of a hiatus. A home for ideas waiting for further exploration, and the shared insights of others.
This journal is also being made in the context of a slow recovery from Long Covid. It means I don't get out as much as I'd like to, so I need to find something interesting in the "familiar".

There's also a soundtrack, because there is usually background music while I'm looking at things.

In the beginning...

I'm learning to use my Camera again. Blipspace is a good place for this. I'm finding the other Blippers work inspiring and their comments helpful (and sometimes just fun). I'm not so good with comments myself but try to make up with stars.

I started taking photos with a film camera. I developed a love of low light and very fast film, shadows in bright light and captured reflections.

I take photos to remember, concentrate, explore and show other people how I see things.

I have a recurring dream where I try to take photos of the dream scene to bring back to the waking world. For some reason this never seems to work.
