Once I referred to myself as kudzu gone wild. Do you remember those leafy, dark green, vines taking over whole hillsides? Underneath the canopy were these dappled lit caves of dark viridian....respite from the heat of summer. I wanted to be an artist beginning in first grade and by third grade I sported a black velvet beret with a white rabbit pompom and imperiously requested all school mates to address me with my newly acquired name, 'Frenchy'.... That didn't last long. Oh well, a rather seriously imbued several decades later, I have found myself still aspiring to deserve the beret (minus the fur)....I see beauty everywhere. A shaft of light on a dusty table,,,the corner of a book, a pile of unfolded laundry, eyelids in repose....Light. It is all about light.....
